PE4 BOREALIS SCHWECHAT
Borealis is erecting a polyethylen-plant at Schwechat that is working with the company-owned Borstar-technology. The plant with an invest volume of € 200 Mill. will produce 350.000 tonnes polyethlyen per year. By building this plant, Borealis is following the increasing demand of linear low-density-polyethlyen, that is used for divers foils, flexible packaging and industrial purpose.
The structural analysis of the cooling towers, the silo foundations and the machinery foundations was carried out on behalf of Pörner+Partner ZT GmbH (www.poerner.at/poepa). The dynamic behaviour of the extruder and compressor foundations was judged by detailed dynamic analysis.
