CCPP MALZENICE
E.ON erected a 400 MW gas fired combined cycle power plant in Malzenice/Slovakia that started commercial operation in 2012. SIEMENS AG from Germany was appointed as general contractor. Civil construction works were carried out by the consortium Porr-Alpine Mayreder from Austria.
The ground conditions on site made soil improvement measures necessary. Stone columns of 0,8 m diameter and 16 m length were installed on a square grid spacing of 1,5 m using the vibro replacement method. On behalf of the consortium Porr-Alpine Mayreder, the civil design works were carried out by Zorn & Nowy ZT GmbH, Heindl & Partner ZT GmbH and convex ZT GmbH.
