GREEN HYDROGEN, ESSEN
E.ON Hydrogen, part of the E.ON Group, one of Europe’s largest operators of energy networks and energy infrastructure, is committed to the hydrogen economy in order to support the transition to sustainable energy. The company plans to build a 20 MW plant in Essen’s city harbor, which will produce 2,300 tons of green hydrogen annually to supply transport companies and industrial businesses in the port area. Andritz AG was commissioned to conduct an engineering study for the entire plant, including hydrogen production, compression, storage, and loading areas.
