PAPER MILL FRANTSCHACH, MONDI
The Paper Mill Mondi Frantschach is installing a new recovery boiler in order to achieve full energy self-sufficiency and provide an additional energy source in the area. This recovery boiler will use the pulping liquor containing lignin as fuel. The generated high-pressure steam will be used in the paper production, for electricity generation and the local district heating.
On behalf of MONDI Frantschach GmbH, convex ZT GmbH was carrying out the entire civil design (tender and execution phases) for reinforced concrete works of the recovery boiler, staircase and electrical building and for structural steelwork works of the external piping. The very tight programme required an intensive co-ordination with all project partners.
Subsequently, convex ZT GmbH carries out the design works of various maintenance, renovation and extension measures within the paper mill.
