COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT ERBIL, IRAQ

 

In July 2012, Mass Group Holding has started converting its 1.000 MW Erbil Independent Power Project (IPP) from simple-cycle to combined-cycle technology. The present power plant is equipped with eigth 9E GE-gas turbines with a capacity of 1.000 MW and is Iraqi Kurdistan’s largest power plant. It will be converted to combined-cycle by additional eight HRSG’s and two GE-steam turbines, and generate 470 MW more electricity with the same fuel consumption.

On behalf of Mass Group Holding, APPA Consult GmbH is rensponsible for Owner`s Engineering works. Within the team of APPA, convex ZT GmbH is responsible for the design review of civil works design..
